Welcome to the website of the Free Evangelical-Reformed Church of Heidelberg, Germany!
We are a Reformed church in Heidelberg. »Reformed« means that we understand the Reformed confessions to be the best and clearest summary of the Gospel or the truth of the Bible. Therefore we have made these confession or own expression of faith. In our church, we confess the so called »Three Forms of Unity« – the Heidelberg Catechism, the Belgic Confession and the Canons of Dordt. We also have a Reformed church order by which we conduct the business of the church.
Currently, we are the only church of its kind in Germany. Our vision, however, is to train future pastors at our small seminary in Heidelberg and send them out to plant more churches like this in Germany and elsewhere. The goal is to become a federation or denomination of churches. We do have strong ties to other Reformed churches world-wide.

Our worship services are at 10:30 a.m. and at 3 p.m. (Services are in German.) There is usually lunch in between.
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper once a month, usually on the first Lord’s Day of the month. If you happen to visit during that time, please let us know beforehand (via the contact form) so the church council can make a decision whether to admit you to the table as a guest.
